When coming to the decision of buying an entrance mat you should take some factors into consideration: make sure you leave enough room for the mat, as the bigger the area, the higher its hygiene; think about the intensity of pedestrian traffic it will be subject to and where it will be placed (outdoors or indoors). For example, for a more intense traffic location one should consider a mat with PVC or brush components, which are also very suitable for outdoor areas.

With a measuring tape and if possible a set square/triangle is very simple to take the measurements of the area where the mat will be placed. Width x length. On recessed floors the set square should be used to confirm if the angles (corners) are correctly aligned and finished, so you can be sure the mat will fit the area perfectly in the end. Please note the depth of the recessed floor when choosing your product, as some models are thicker than others.
